Australia Tourist Visa (Subclass 600)

The Subclass 600 Tourist Visa allows individuals to visit Australia for holidays, tourism, or to visit family or friends. It does not permit work but may allow short-term business visitor activities under certain streams.

Process

  • First, determine which stream of the Subclass 600 visa applies to your purpose — typically, the Tourist stream or Sponsored Family stream.
  • Next, prepare your documents, including a valid passport, recent passport-size photographs, proof of funds, travel itinerary, and a letter of invitation if visiting family or friends.
  • Then, create an ImmiAccount on the official Australian immigration portal and complete the online visa application form by entering accurate personal and travel details.
  • After submitting the application, pay the visa fee online, which is generally around AUD 150.
  • Finally, wait for processing, which may take from a few days to several weeks depending on your country of residence; once approved, you will receive your visa grant notice via email with all the conditions and validity period.

Australia Student Visa (Subclass 500)

The Subclass 500 Student Visa allows international students to study full-time in Australia at a registered education provider (CRICOS). It also permits limited work rights during and after study periods.

Process

  • Begin by obtaining a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) from an Australian educational institution after receiving and accepting an offer to study.
  • Next, undergo health examinations and arrange for an Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) policy that covers the entire duration of your course.
  • Then, prepare your documents including your valid passport, CoE, academic records, GTE (Genuine Temporary Entrant) statement, English language test results (if applicable), OSHC certificate, and financial documents proving sufficient funds.
  • Once all documents are ready, create or log into your ImmiAccount and fill out the online application for the Subclass 500 visa.
  • Submit the application and pay the visa fee, which is generally around AUD 710.
  • After lodging, you may be asked to attend a biometrics appointment or provide additional documents; finally, wait for a decision, which can take a few weeks, and receive your visa grant notification electronically.
