Turkey Tourist Visa (e-Visa or Sticker Visa)

The Turkey Tourist Visa allows foreign nationals to visit Turkey for tourism, leisure, sightseeing, or short-term family visits. Depending on nationality, applicants may apply for an electronic visa (e-Visa) or a sticker visa through an embassy.

Process

  • Begin by determining whether you are eligible for a Turkey e-Visa, which allows for fast online application, or if you must apply through the Turkish embassy or consulate.
  • If eligible for the e-Visa, visit the official e-Visa website and complete the online form with your passport and travel information.
  • Upload a valid passport with at least 6 months of validity, pay the visa fee using a credit or debit card, and download the approved e-Visa — typically issued within minutes.
  • If you are not eligible for the e-Visa, complete the sticker visa application through the Pre-Application System for Turkish Sticker Visa online and schedule an appointment at the nearest Turkish embassy or consulate.
  • Prepare your documents including your passport, recent photographs, round-trip flight booking, hotel reservation, travel insurance, financial proof (such as bank statements), and a travel itinerary.
  • Attend the interview, submit your documents, and pay the visa fee. Once approved, the visa will be stamped in your passport for the intended duration, generally up to 90 days within a 180-day period.

Turkey Student Visa

The Turkey Student Visa is issued to international students who are enrolled in full-time academic programs at Turkish universities, schools, or language institutions. It allows students to enter the country and later apply for a residence permit for the duration of study.

Process

  • Start by applying to and receiving an official acceptance letter from a recognized Turkish educational institution.
  • Once accepted, visit the Turkish Visa Pre-Application System to begin the visa application process and book an appointment at the nearest Turkish embassy or consulate.
  • Prepare your documents including a valid passport, visa application form, acceptance letter, recent photographs, proof of financial means (to cover tuition and living expenses), accommodation details, and travel health insurance.
  • Attend your appointment, submit the required documents, and pay the visa fee (varies by nationality).
  • If your application is approved, your passport will be returned with the student visa affixed, usually valid for a single entry.
  • After arriving in Turkey, you must apply for a Student Residence Permit within 30 days at the local Provincial Directorate of Migration Management (Göç İdaresi).
  • This permit is typically valid for the full academic year and is renewable for the duration of your studies.
